All my bags are packed

Today, I am leaving South Africa.
I've waited for what seems like forever. (in reality, it's been four years).
I'm a little nervous. I know I've spent lots of time on planes, but I can't seem to shake my anxiety over them. But it is a means to an end, at the end sitting my best friend who I haven't seen in four years. We watched each other grow over Skype, but I can't wait to see her face to face. To meet the people she's talked about. To sit up late every night laughing until our sides are sore.

After that, I get to see my wonderful sister. True, she only moved a few months ago, but trust me, that is eons in sister years. I can't wait to see her again!

I fly to see the rest of my family too. Some who I haven't seen since I was four. I get to meet newborn family members and have long chats with the old ones. I can't wait to visit the country of my roots again. There are truly no words for my excitement right now.
So if you don't see me for the next two months, I haven't disappeared off of the face of the earth. I'm just in another part of it.

All photos I found from Pinterest.

Are you going anywhere for the holidays, readers?
