A Few Sweet Things

-“For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet or excite you. Books help us understand who we are and how we are to behave. They show us what community and friendship mean; they show us how to live and die.” - Anne Lamott. (THIS quote.)

<- this song. (Shout out, Augustine of Hippo!) I've been listening to it all week and I think it's one of the best of the album. Although this is a close second.

- Also, I now have a widget to show my word count on the left at the top of this blog, so I won't be writing it manually on here anymore.

Have a good day!

  1. Books are quite amazing, and Switchfoot isn't half bad either. Actually just bought Dark Horses" on itunes. Keep up the writing!

  3. Hey Dani, that quote is so apt in summarizing how I feel about books :-). I love that Switchfoot song (Souvenirs); it's so appropriate for my life right now. Growing up... what a strange experience.
